DOCUMENTARIES FOR CHARITIES

Loose Parts Play

This fun project has been commissioned by the East Lothian Play Association to promote playing with everyday items to develop one’s imagination. We spoke to childminders, parents, playground supervisors and others to capture key points about the benefits of this kind of play and tried to illustrate it by following children as they play in different environments.

Spinal Injuries Scotland

We were contracted by Digby Brown to create a short film to help promote the work of Spinal Injuries Scotland. SIS is formed primarily of people who have suffered some form of spinal injury and they work with people who are newly diagnosed providing peer support in adjusting to the life after their injury. It was important to show what a great job the charity does to help with fundraising and raising awareness of the organisation overall.

Support in Mind

This organisation was one of the winners at the Principles Into Practice Awards organised by the Mental Health Commission and as a winner it had a film made about the work that it does. We were limited in our cutaway set ups so decided to take a more experimental approach to tell the story visually.

Fit for Life

Film about a fitness class for older people with mental health issues. This unique group offered many opportunities to capture great visuals which could be used to tell the story of the participants. The class only lasted an hour so we didn’t have much time to film and had to think fast to came up with shots.
